Appvion Launches ThermaEndure™ Platform for Enhanced Direct Thermal Performance
Appleton, Wisconsin, September 10, 2026 – Appvion, a North American leader in direct thermal and specialty coating solutions, today announced the launch of ThermaEndure™, a new product platform designed to deliver enhanced resistance, durability, and image longevity across direct thermal applications. Appvion’s direct thermal solutions combine materials science, water-based coating technology, and technical expertise to provide clear imaging and reliable performance.
The first products available under the ThermaEndure™ platform are ThermaEndure™ Film 3.0 and ThermaEndure™ Label 3.0 E. These in-development products are engineered to help printed information remain clear and readable in demanding environments. Technical Data Sheets are now available, and customers can request samples to evaluate performance and suitability for their applications.

Technical Data Sheets for ThermaEndure™ feature a distinctive blue design that identifies products currently in development. Commercially available Appvion products will continue to use the company’s established red Technical Data Sheet format, allowing customers to quickly distinguish emerging technologies from market-ready solutions.

Appvion plans to expand the ThermaEndure™ platform with future tag offerings. The platform is intended to encompass direct thermal papers, films, labels, and tags with enhanced resistance properties and image longevity.
